Drumcroon Collection

Drumcroon Education Arts Centre opened in 1980 and gained national acclaim for work in visual arts education. Part of its mission was to give local children access to original artworks by a range of artists. The Drumcroon Collection includes prints, paintings, drawings, textiles and objects purchased from or donated by many artists over the years and includes works by some established British artists, including Patrick Heron, Victor Pasmore, Elisabeth Frink and many more. The Turnpike Gallery is delighted to showcase the most significant exhibition to date of over 50 works from the collection.

Frost Festival 2025

The boroughs Frost Festival calendar is once again, packed full of family-friendly events to help get you in the festive spirit. With lots of Christmas markets, parades, musical entertainment, Santa himself and so much more, there really is something for the whole family to enjoy, across every corner of the borough.

Goody Two Shoes

Aladdin - The Christmas Pantomine

Say Two Productions, renowned for their acclaimed Shakespeare performances both nationally and internationally and as regular BBC features, proudly brings ‘Aladdin the Christmas Pantomime’ to The Edge in Wigan. Gordon Hendricks at Elvis - The Kings Voice

Gordon Hendricks has crafted an impressive career as an Elvis Presley tribute artist. His breakthrough came with his appearance on ITV’s ‘Stars in their Eyes,’ where he wowed audiences who voted him as the series champion. He also impressed Elvis’ songwriter Geoff Morrow, who offered him a recording opportunity, leading to the release of “Where Will I Be,” a song meant for Elvis. Gordon's achievements include winning the 'World’s Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artiste Champion 2017' title at Graceland. Now, as he embarks on ‘The King’s Voice’ tour, fans will experience a celebration of Elvis’s legacy through Gordon's remarkable skill.

Scotman's Flash: Outdoor watersports

Adventure golf at Haigh

Show you're king or queen of the course with an unforgettable adventure golf experience at Haigh Woodland Park. This 18 hole adventure golf course offers many challenges and obstacles to test your skills. You can take a ride on the Viking boat, challenge yourself by putting through a tree stump vortex hole, or simply indulge in the stunning views that make this adventure golf course like no other. No need to book in advance (unless you're a group of 13 or more, see group bookings below), just turn up and pay at the Visitor Centre to play a game.
